The Fab Lab Coordinator is responsible for the overall operation of a digital Fabrication Lab [Fab Lab] and the development of programs and services that meet the needs and support youth to learn how to build almost anything using digital fabrication methods. The Coordinator is also responsible to create a community of makers.
Berytech is recruiting for several different locations including:
Manages and maintains all aspects, supports spaces and equipment resources, including hardware and software
Maintains and updates all lab infrastructure, equipment, and software configurations
Ensures availability, applicability and safety of equipment, parts, and materials
Develops Fab Lab activities, scheduling spaces and modifying curriculum content
Troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, calibrates, inspects and tests all equipment
Manages service contracts for specific equipment
Trains users in equipment operation
Ensures availability of lab resources to support all users and projects
Promotes and advocates the Fab Lab and organizes various events, workshops, and other activities
Maintains contact with the local and international Fab Lab community to remain up-to-date on the latest innovations in digital fabrication

Berytech is looking to hire a Strategy & Operations Consultant to develop a 5-year Strategy and Operations Plan (S&OP) for QOOT – Lebanon Agri Food Innovation Cluster. Duration: 3 months
Scope Of Work
Berytech seeks an external consultant to develop a long-term strategic plan for QOOT Cluster to understand what the current strategy is, what has been achieved in the past year and also what will be the strategic directions in the upcoming 5 years. The consultant will also design creative action plans to clarify the operational phase covering the different strategic business units (communication and visibility, outreach and mapping, membership and adherence, expansion and growth, funding and sustainability, risk and contingency, monitoring and evaluation…)
The consultant will work closely with QOOT Cluster’s team, board, members and various stakeholders to deliver the below specific tasks:
Collect data and information from QOOT Cluster team and board members through meetings, key informant interviews, focus group discussions
Conduct brainstorming sessions to understand the cluster team members needs and expectations
Review the researches outcomes on the food cluster trends (regional and international) in coordination with the Cluster Manager
Review the cluster internal business plan, feasibility study and other available documentation
Conduct field visits to the cluster members’ to better understand their challenges and expectations
Conduct qualitative analysis of the data collected from the relevant stakeholders and from researches, desk reviews and field visits
Evaluate the previous experience and build on lessons learnt to propose recommendations and identify areas where improvements can be made
Present the research findings to the cluster board members and to senior management
Prepare the strategic report and operational plans S&OP to be approved by the cluster team and senior management
Key deliverables are as follows:
Key deliverable 1: Power point presentation summarizing the research findings
Key deliverable 2: Outline of the S&OP to be agreed with the cluster board members and senior management team at Berytech
Key deliverable 3: The first draft of the S&OP to be reviewed by the cluster board members and senior management team at Berytech
Key deliverable 4: The final copy of S&OP to be approved by the cluster board members and senior management team at Berytech
Key deliverable 5: Power point presentation summarizing the S&OP, strategy, operations, and recommendations
The timeline for submission of the above deliverables will be discussed and agreed upon between the consultant and the management team.
The Strategic Plan
The strategic plan will consist of three sections to be consolidated into one document. The final outline of the S&OP will be agreed upon by the Cluster Manager and Berytech’s senior management.

Master’s degree in business management, economics, finance or a closely related field, Ph.D. is preferred
10 to 15 years’ experience in private sector finance, accounting, economics or related field
Experience in strategic planning within local organizations, in MENA or other regions
Experience in the design of business units’ operational plans
Demonstrated skills in collecting, analyzing and processing data
Prior experience in similar assignment as a strategic planner or business analyst
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent knowledge of industry strategies, preferably in food- cluster strategy management and operations
Ability to connect with people from different background

About QOOT Cluster
QOOT Cluster is the first Lebanese agri-food consortium that brings together Lebanese enterprises, rising SMEs, multinational companies, knowledge providers, support institutions, and investment entities to collaboratively catalyze and innovate the agri-food sector in Lebanon.

Berytech is looking for an experienced Program Manager to organize and coordinate the Cleantech Track of the ACT SMART Innovation Hub. The Program Manager will manage the operations and administration, provide strategic guidance to team members in ways that promote the organization’s culture and program objectives, as well as oversee the progress of operations.
The Program Manager will be the prime interface with stakeholders in the Cleantech sector, responsible for managing the operations, planning, marketing, and development of this Track and supporting the Program Director. Ensuring the day-to-day smooth running of the program, with high levels of client satisfaction focusing on creating the best possible environment in which Cleantech related startups and SMEs can grow and succeed.
This position requires a team player with leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, a professional and positive attitude, organization and dependability. This is a challenging role which nonetheless makes available endless opportunities and learning for the candidate.
Key Responsibilities And Job Tasks
The Program Manager will be responsible for leading the Cleantech Track ensuring that the Entrepreneurship programs and the Think Tank Working Groups growth are up to the program expectations. This would be inclusive of the following.
Overall planning and administration the activities, resources, budgets and operations of the track.
Events and workshops : Direct and organize various workshops/events/webinars for the program, and execute the same with the help of team members and external consultants
Partnerships: Forge partnerships with other organizations for providing services to the startups to help in marketing the program, to get sponsorships, etc. Liaison with the government, academia and industries.
Marketing the track and its Development : Be the face of the Cleantech track and actively promote it through various channels, work with the Communication & Outreach team on ensuring maximum exposure.
Prepare all required reports and maintain a comprehensive set of records on all related activities.
Liaison with other related projects related to the sector (consortium, innovation funds, etc.)
Startups Acceleration Component
Pre-incubation: Deal flow generation, screening of proposals, research, patent landscaping, working with entrepreneurs on market validation through the acceleration team
Mentor Network : Develop the mentor network for the acceleration program and work with the acceleration team to help make the supported ventures successful.
Acceleration and Incubation: Lead formation of new business and keep track of the Incubation process, help the startups prepare proposals, connect to market, clients, users, get funding, etc.
Funding for Incubatee Projects : Work with co-ordination with senior management for setting up grant support and seed funds for startups.
Working Groups Think Tank Component
Membership: Support the Cluster manager with increasing the members number, quality and participation level.
Strategy and connections: Act as a liaison between the track components and build linkages needed. Increase the impact on innovation, competitiveness and research to commercialization, by supporting and empowering the cluster manager and sharing the role in growth.
Partnerships: accelerate the impactful partnerships for stronger links and impact to meet the strategic growth plan of the cluster, including academia, research, government, private sector and international linkages.
Policy development: work with the Policy development partner to develop white papers to improve the business and innovation landscape in the sector.
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Proven experience in a Project and Operations Management
Bachelor of Engineering, with an M.E. or MBA is needed
Budgeting and reporting, grant reporting is a plus
