Hult Prize Foundation is the World's Largest accelerator for youth-driven innovation and entrepreneurship, creating and funding game-changing startups every year. It was founded in 2009 by Palestinian American Ahmad Ashkar. It has been called the”Nobel Prize for Students” and was featured in a TIME Magazine Cover Story in 2012 highlighting the “Top 5 Ideas Changing the World.”
Today, the Hult Prize is the world’s biggest engine for the launch of for-good, for-profit startups emerging from university with over 2500 staff and volunteers around the world. In nearly a decade, the movement has deployed more than $50M of capital into the sector and mobilized more than one million young people to re-think the future of business as it continues to breed disruptive innovation on college and university campuses across 100 plus countries.
This year, in partnership with Banque Du Liban and BLOM Bank, we’ve launched a Hult Prize National program in Lebanon, working with University students around the country to help create the next wave of social entrepreneurs. In addition to the $250,000 seed grant that will be oferred to a Lebanese student-led startup, we also run educational programs throughout the year, an 8 week live/work incubator at Beirut Digital District, and we're supporting Lebanon's largest youth focused event, the 2018 Lebanon Changemakers Festival.
