Warner Music Middle East, based out of Beirut-Lebanon and covering the MENA region markets, is seeking an innovative, music passionate and creative A&R Manager to scout for and sign talented artists that have clear commercial potential.

 

A little bit about our team:

You will be joining a dynamic team that implements label interests on all aspects of artists' development, licensing, and marketing, etc. The role is plugged into many different teams and continuous liaison with colleagues should come naturally.

You will be the expert in your area, knowing all there is to know about artist development. Your daily work involves research and putting reports about potential talents. If you have a strong passion for discovering new music and working with talents, this position is for you.

The primary focus of the position is to identify and attract artists and work on music that reflects market trends and the company’s creative strategy. It is paramount that the role holder will build and develop relationships with agents/producers/writers in order to support local artist development and commercial objectives across the company’s recorded music. It is a fast-paced and challenging role that requires a skilled creative personality with great communication skills and the ability to excel under strict deadlines.

 

About you:

  • You are passionate about music and have good experience within the industry
  • You have first-class communications skills, both written and verbal, and know-how to deliver a message
  • You have AMAZING organizational abilities and strong attention to detail
  • You are a self-starter, with an appetite to innovate and ability to think creatively
  • You have the ability to work as part of a team but also to show initiative and the sense to make individual decisions 
  • You are collaborative, a team player, with the ability to form strong relationships (internally & externally)
  • You have experience working directly with artists and/or producers/songwriters
  • You have relevant experience of working in music and A&R environments across different music genres, especially regional Middle Eastern and North African music
  • You are able to network extensively and show that commercial success has allowed significant networks to be established within the music business 
  • You have a thorough understanding of new music consumption channels
  • You have the ability to plan, organize and execute productions in a timely manner
  • You are naturally curious, willing to learn a little bit of everything, and open to taking on anything
  • You have artists/talents facing experience
  • You are able to anticipate issues and risks at module level and escalate accordingly
  • You are fluent in English and Arabic
