Job Title: HR Generalist
Job Summary: The HR Generalist is accountable on both administrative and strategic responsibilities, run the daily functions of the Human Resources department including: Talent Acquisition in handling the full-cycle of the recruitment process and finding the right talents; Organizational development including compensations & benefits, onboarding, departures, enforcing company policies and practices; Learning & Development in assessing needs creating, organizing, designing, and delivering trainings and awareness plans; Performance Management in improving employee job performance through the use of performance assessment tools and coaching sessions.
The HR Generalist will play a key role in positioning ZRE as an employer of choice through the implementation of the HR strategy and other related activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition
Handle efficiently the talent acquisition workflows and ensure smooth running of operations
Introduce new strategies to attract potential talents and enhance the hiring process
Source potential candidates through various recruitment channels including BDD career portal
Develop and continuously improve the BDD career portal by suggesting new features to the development team, test the features and introduce them
Screen, interview, shortlist and recruit the suitable candidate in alignment with the job requirements by adhering to the required timeframe
Follow up with the hiring team on the interview feedback collection
Organize and participate in job fairs & recruitment events
Implement referral practices and provide feedback or recommendations, when needed
Prepare the employment offer with respect to the agreed terms and conditions in addition to NSSF paperwork arrangements
Track the probation period process and follow up with direct managers on the employee’s performance status
Ensure employees personal information updates on systems while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Handle the department filing and archiving system
Organizational Development
Handle the company’s organizational chart updates
Create, review and modify Job Descriptions at the company’s level
Review HR policies and procedures constantly and recommend enhancements, when needed
Plan and implement the onboarding process for new joiners - prepare welcome kit, communications, and other related official documents
Handle the off boarding process including exit interviews suggest retention when necessary and address issues with concerned parties, when needed
Establish wage and salary structure, pay policies, and employee benefit programs
Administer the leave balance and transportation for employees on monthly basis
Protect interests of employee/company in accordance with company HR policies and governmental laws
Develop internal communication messages and memos as needed
Propose new initiatives and motivational programs to ensure employee engagement and a great place to work environment
Assess employees’ needs by conducting organizational surveys in order to build and sustain a positive and transparent culture
Learning and Development
Promote and advance a learning culture within the organization
Conduct and deliver orientation sessions to ensure a smooth and professional integration of all new joiners
Identify and analyze training needs and assessments in order to prepare an annual action plan for training activities and programs
Develop, design and create training manuals as per the identified needs, organize and set training equipment and facilities and deliver training sessions accordingly
Set the yearly training budget
Coordinate with outsourced external training providers by deciding and negotiating on training contracts, terms and conditions
Evaluate effectiveness of training programs, by developing testing and evaluation procedures
Monitor the efficiency of the delivered trainings and assess performance effectiveness
Search and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the training and development arena to secure optimum training and development activities and programs
Performance Management
Assist in the performance review process by ensuring proper implementation of the system follow-up on completion, review and re-visit objectives as necessary
Contribute in the identification of high potential employees to create a pool of talent
Coach and provide employees with professional advice on HR issues and ensure that HR policies and procedures are properly implemented for optimal results
Develop and ensure the implementation of individual development plans IDPs and secure succession planning
Conduct studies on different HR metrics, generate and analyze related reports and raise recommendations accordingly
Others
Achieve the HR KPI’s to meet strategic business goal and key priorities
Ensure compliance with authority matrix, code of conduct and HR policies and procedures
Maintain effective coordination with different stakeholders for successful initiatives and results
Remain up-to-date with the latest development and best practices in the field
Perform other job-related duties as assigned based on business needs
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent, Master’s degree is a plus
4+ years of relevant HR experience
Excellent command of verbal and written communication skills: English and Arabic, French is a plus
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
