Job Description
The role of the Merchandising & Commercial Specialist is to manage all product related operations in order to ensure a smooth selling experience for retail & customers so as to achieve superior customer satisfaction and consequently optimal Sales Results.Prepare for the Sell-In sessions by retrieving and analyzing the Sell-thru report.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing The Core stock report for all countries. Analyzing the data and taking actions (placing refill orders and transfer orders from Free zone to other countries) if needed.
- Implementing pricing of the merchandise based on the history of similar styles as well as Market Needs after approval of the Commercial Manager.
- Assisting the Commercial Manager during the sell-in sessions by guiding the wholesale & Retail accounts in choosing the right SKU and the correct quantity/size-run for their stores.
- Preparing the seasonal Assortments for the Retail Stores.
- Guiding the customers in selecting the Styles during the order selection.
- Following up on order confirmations from clients. Performing consolidation of items and submiting orders to the brand.
- Coordinating and following up on product deliveries including preparation of Proforma/data file.
- Following up on container arrivals, checking relative invoices (Quantities and Prices) and allocating deliveries among customers.
- Preparing the containers’ priority list that ensures the correct SKUs are included based on the need of the market.
- Creating the product Master File, Purchase file & catalogue to be used by the Logistics, Finance and Retail departments.
- Informing Store Managers of the arrival date of new items and price changes.
- Deciding on slow moving items in order to make way for the new collection after approval of Commercial manager.
- Preparing the selection to be sent to discount store after consulting with Commercial Manager.
- Coordinating transfers between stores and to the warehouse with the Area Manager.
- Ensuring the rotation of stock between stores and order transfers if needed in coordination with the store Manager.
- Implementing necessary stock control by conducting systematic and continuous update on the stores’ stock situation as well as collection availability and taking actions accordingly.
