Description:

Work with our team to manage the development and production environments for a state-of-the-art backtesting platform. Optimize cloud infrastructure, implement CI/CD pipelines, and enhance system performance while receiving coaching on best engineering practices.

Tasks:

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for smooth code deployment and a fast QA cycle.
• Set up and optimize infrastructure across development, staging, and live environments.
• Monitor infrastructure health, address issues, and implement recovery solutions.
• Suggest and implement cost and performance optimizations. · Research and present new cloud solutions to enhance our infrastructure.

Skills:

Must have:

• Strong understanding of version control systems.
•  Knowledge of CI/CD systems and how to integrate with them.
•  Proficiency in Linux operating systems.
•  Awareness of high availability concerns.
•  Experience with infrastructure deployment through code (Kubernetes, AWS, Ansible, etc.).
•  Willingness to learn new technologies and step out of one’s comfort zone.
•  Strong discipline and organization in meeting deadlines.
•  Ability to think on your feet and make long-term decisions.
•  Passion for problem-solving and software development.

Beneficial knowledge:

•  AWS Lambda functions.
•  AWS CloudWatch or similar monitoring tools.
• AWS SQS and/or RabbitMQ.
• AWS EC2 deployment through code.
• Scrum or other agile methodologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Other degrees may be considered with a proven track record in DevOps.
