Role Overview:
The Executive Director is a key leadership position responsible for guiding and managing all aspects of the organization to achieve its mission and strategic goals. This role requires a visionary leader who can effectively oversee day-to-day operations, ensure the successful implementation of programs, and maintain the financial health of the organization. The Executive Director will act as the primary spokesperson, strengthen relationships with stakeholders, and provide strategic direction to enhance the organization’s visibility and impact. This position plays a critical role in shaping the future growth and sustainability of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day grant implementation activities.
- Build the organization’s vision, mission, strategy, and growth goals.
- Ensure the team collaborates effectively to achieve strategic objectives.
- Manage the annual budget to maintain financial health.
- Supervise the implementation of programs and initiatives to ensure relevance, success, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide executive direction and guidance on daily grant operations.
- Devise remedial actions for identified issues and conduct crisis management when necessary.
- Provide strategic guidance to marketing and communication efforts to enhance visibility, credibility, and brand image.
- Direct fundraising efforts to maximize resources and maintain a healthy financial position.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson, representing the organization at external events to strengthen its profile.
- Forge and maintain relations of trust with donors, partners, external authorities, the private sector, and other stakeholders to strategically advance the organization’s mission.
- Coordinate relationships with the organization’s boards and committees, seeking their active involvement in activities.
- Direct the training provider sourcing process: publishing open calls for applications, reaching out to relevant providers, assessing proposals, and submitting eligible programs to the selection committee.
- Direct the beneficiary sourcing strategy from schools, universities, and underserved areas.
- Develop a monitoring and evaluation system to track program activities, outputs, and progress toward anticipated results.
- Manage due diligence processes and facilitate donor audits.
- Ensure all institutional donor reporting requirements are met and completed on time.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- Seven to ten years of experience in program management and NGOs.
- Experience in talent development roles is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
