Social Media Executive - Roles & Responsibilities
1. Content Planning & Strategy
- Assist in developing monthly social media calendars aligned with client objectives, campaigns, and seasonal events.
- Research trends, hashtags, and competitor activities to recommend relevant content ideas.
- Work with the account manager and creative team to ensure briefs are clear, timely, and aligned with brand tone.
2. Content Creation & Coordination
- Draft engaging captions in both English and Arabic (if applicable) that reflect the client’s brand voice.
- Coordinate with designers and videographers to ensure creative assets are produced on time.
- Ensure content briefs are complete, accurate, and submitted to the creative team well in advance.
3. Posting & Community Management
- Schedule and publish approved content across all client platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, etc.).
- Manage daily community engagement: reply to comments, DMs, and inquiries professionally and within agreed SLAs.
- Flag sensitive or critical comments/issues immediately to the account manager.
4. Client Communication & Approvals
- Share content calendars, stories, and campaign ideas with clients for approval in a timely manner.
- Follow up on client approvals to avoid delays.
- Maintain clear communication with clients on content status, campaign progress, and results.
5. Campaign Support
- Support in planning and executing digital campaigns, influencer activations, and event coverage.
- Liaise with influencers and content creators when needed, ensuring proper briefing and post-delivery.
- Ensure campaign assets and deliverables are tracked and archived.
6. Analytics & Reporting
- Track and monitor content performance using platform insights and analytics tools.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports highlighting key metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth, conversions).
- Provide recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.
7. Attention to Detail & Quality Control
- Double-check all posts for spelling, grammar, accuracy, and brand compliance before sharing with clients or posting.
- Ensure location tags, hashtags, and handles are correct and consistent.
- Maintain high attention to detail, avoiding errors such as posting wrong dates, venues, or brand visuals.
8. Collaboration & Internal Alignment
- Work closely with designers, copywriters, and account managers to ensure seamless delivery of client work.
- Participate actively in weekly team check-ins and client meetings when required.
- Support colleagues by sharing updates promptly and maintaining accountability for tasks.
9. Professional Growth
- Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and platform updates.
- Actively participate in monthly training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops.
- Strive to improve writing, content ideation, and strategic thinking skills.
Skills Required
- Social Media Expertise: Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
- Content Writing: Excellent writing and editing skills in English (Arabic is a strong plus).
- Creativity: Ability to come up with fresh, engaging ideas tailored to different audiences.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in captions, dates, tags, and brand compliance.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to read insights, prepare reports, and recommend improvements.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and priorities.
- Communication: Clear, professional communication with clients and internal teams.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly troubleshoot issues (e.g., scheduling errors, negative comments).
- Collaboration: Strong team player who can work closely with designers, executives, and managers.
- Adaptability: Comfortable adjusting to client demands, platform changes, and new tools.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with tools like Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite/Buffer, Canva, Google Analytics, or similar.
