About Slide it

Slide it is Lebanon’s first Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) platform, designed to empower consumers with smarter, stress-free purchasing and to give merchants a powerful sales growth tool. We are building a reliable, secure, and user-friendly platform to reshape consumer credit in Lebanon and beyond.

As we prepare for launch, we are looking for a Lead Developer Officer to head our technology stack, guide our product development, and ensure smooth delivery across web, mobile, and backend services.

Position Overview

The Lead Developer Officer will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling the Slide it platform. This role includes overseeing all technical aspects—frontend, backend, and mobile app development—while ensuring security, performance, and seamless user experience.

You will also play a strategic role in shaping the technical direction of the company, managing development resources (in-house and outsourced), and ensuring our systems integrate smoothly with financial, merchant, and customer-facing platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Development & Maintenance

  • Design, develop, and maintain the Slide it platform (web, mobile apps, and backend).

  • Build scalable, secure, and high-performing systems to handle financial transactions.

  • Integrate APIs with partner merchants, payment gateways, and financial institutions.

• Technical Leadership

  • Define and own the technology roadmap in alignment with business objectives.

  • Lead and coordinate development efforts (in-house team + external agencies/freelancers).

  • Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, architecture, and DevOps.

• Product & User Experience

  • Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver smooth, intuitive UX/UI.

  • Continuously improve features based on user feedback and analytics.

  • Ensure mobile-first and omnichannel usability.

• Security & Compliance

  • Implement robust data security, encryption, and fraud prevention measures.

  • Ensure compliance with Lebanese regulations and international standards.

  • Oversee data privacy, PCI DSS standards, and financial transaction safeguards.

• Operations & Support

  • Set up monitoring systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure platform uptime.

  • Optimize infrastructure for cost efficiency and scalability.

  • Support the finance and operations team with integrations, reporting, and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership/lead developer role.

• Strong expertise in:

  • Frontend: React / Vue / Angular

  • Backend: Node.js / Python / Java / .NET

  • Mobile: React Native / Flutter / iOS & Android development

  • Databases: SQL, NoSQL (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.)

  • Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Azure, GCP, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes.

• Proven experience with fintech/payment systems is a major plus.

• Strong knowledge of API integrations, security, and authentication (OAuth2, JWT).

• Experience in leading technical teams (hiring, mentoring, managing freelancers).
