Role Overview

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our founding engineering team. This is a hands-on, mid-level role focused on building Sovra’s core application stack — from front-end interfaces to backend integrations that connect with wallets and DeFi protocols.

You’ll work closely with the Technical Lead to implement new features, ensure performance on mobile, and deliver a seamless user experience for savers across MENA and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Sovra’s web and mobile front-end using React / React Native.
• Build backend services and APIs to support wallet operations, user profiles, and on/off-ramp flows.
• Integrate third-party APIs (wallet providers, DeFi protocols, payments) and manage data flows between layers.
• Collaborate on the architecture of Sovra’s self-custody, yield systems and future DeFi integrations.
• Optimize app performance and ensure smooth blockchain interactions under the hood.
•  Write clean, testable code and contribute to code reviews, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Work with the Technical Lead to uphold security, reliability, and best development practices.
• Participate in early product discussions and influence key technical decisions.

What We’re Looking For

• 2–4 years of experience in software development, preferably in fintech, crypto, or mobile-first products.
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, React / React Native, and Node.js.
• Experience building and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, Firebase, MongoDB) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
• Interest and familiarity with Web3 concepts (wallets, stablecoins, smart contracts, DeFi).
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills, especially on mobile.
• Startup mindset — proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving environment.

Nice to have:

•  Exposure to Ethereum or L2 ecosystems (Arbitrum, Base, Optimism).
• Experience integrating crypto wallets or payment APIs.
• Knowledge of security best practices for handling user data and transactions.
