Role Overview
The Training Coordinator supports the coordination and delivery of Forward MENA’s training activities and serves as a key learner-facing role. Reporting to the Project Manager, the position manages daily communication with learners, monitors their progress, and ensures smooth training operations.
In this role, the coordinator also acts as a Student Success Lead, guiding learners throughout their journey, motivating them to complete their courses, and supporting them in overcoming challenges. Additionally, the role contributes to curriculum updates, learning path maintenance, and light research to keep training content aligned with market needs.
This role ensures learners receive timely support, accurate information, and a positive experience that contributes to Forward MENA’s mission of improving employability and earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Learner Coordination & Communication
- Serve as the main point of contact for learners across assigned cohorts.
- Manage daily communication (WhatsApp, platform messages, email).
- Support onboarding, orientation sessions, and cohort kick-offs.
- Follow up on absences, engagement issues, or learner inquiries promptly.
2. Student Success Lead
- Guide learners to maintain engagement and complete their training.
- Monitor progress and proactively follow up with learners falling behind.
- Identify dropout risks and escalate when needed.
- Provide individual support, motivation, and reassurance to help learners complete their learning paths.
3. Training Operations & Logistics
- Coordinate logistics including materials, platforms, schedules, and trainer communication.
- Ensure training content, links, and materials are prepared and shared on time.
- Host online sessions when needed, track attendance, and provide basic technical support.
- Maintain accurate trackers, attendance records, and session logs.
4. Data Tracking & Reporting
- Record attendance, progress, evaluations, and completion data accurately.
- Prepare weekly dashboards and updates for the Senior Training Coordinator.
- Maintain organized documentation and databases.
- Support donor reporting through consistent and reliable data collection.
5. Curriculum & Learning Path Maintenance
- Keep course lists, modules, and learning paths up to date.
- Upload and organize training content on LMS platforms.
- Flag outdated modules and coordinate updates as needed.
- Ensure learning materials are accurate, accessible, and well-structured.
6. Research & Program Improvement
- Conduct light research on emerging digital skills and market trends.
- Benchmark courses from other providers to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support evaluation of new training content or potential providers.
- Share insights to improve program relevance and competitiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Business, Human Resources, Digital Skills, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in training coordination, education administration, or similar roles.
- Strong communication skills in both English, French and Arabic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and digital platforms.
- Familiarity with LMS systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work with learners from diverse backgrounds.
