Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Social Sciences Program Manager is responsible for creating, supervising, and enhancing social sciences curricula, ensuring alignment with educational standards and the SABIS® methodology. This role includes collaborating with stakeholders, providing training, and overseeing classroom implementation to improve student learning and school performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, evaluating, and updating social sciences curricula, books, and assessments, ensuring they meet educational standards and student needs
- Conducting training sessions and providing ongoing support to Regional Centers, teachers, and staff for effective curriculum implementation
- Reviewing and approving pacing charts, assessments, and teaching materials to maintain high quality and consistency across all educational content
- Collaborating with department heads, attending PM meetings and regional conferences, and holding departmental meetings to address concerns and ensure smooth implementation
- Analyzing performance data of schools, students, and staff to identify areas for improvement and recommend effective strategies
- Ensuring that curricula and related products comply with regional educational regulations and SABIS® internal standards, implementing updates as necessary
- Researching and integrating innovative teaching strategies and tools into the curriculum to enhance learning experiences
- Staying up-to-date on educational and social sciences trends to continuously improve the program
- Addressing and resolving issues related to the social sciences program promptly
- Attending domain meetings and coordinating with other academic departments to integrate interdisciplinary elements into the social sciences program
- Preparing budgets, setting departmental objectives, and developing contingency plans
- Performing other related tasks as they arise and as delegated by the Management
Ideal Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, or equivalent
- Master’s degree is a plus
- English and Arabic Proficient
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field
