Internship overview:
We are looking for an Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Intern to work closely with production systems and help maintain reliability as we scale.
This role sits between cloud infrastructure, operations, and engineering support. You will be exposed to real-world AWS environments, Terraform-managed infrastructure, production incidents, and launch operations — not toy or simulated projects.
If you are interested in DevOps, SRE, cloud security, or platform engineering, this role provides a strong and practical entry point.
Internship format:
Remote / Hybrid (Overlap with core engineering hours required)
Internship duration: 3–6 months (extendable based on performance)
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud & Infrastructure Operations
- Monitor AWS-based systems (ECS, ALB, CloudWatch, S3)
- Assist in investigating service health issues and anomalies
- Support ECS task restarts, rollbacks, and deployments
- Run post-deployment smoke checks
- Support launch and release war-room operations
Infrastructure-as-Code Exposure
- Read and understand Terraform modules used in production
- Assist with infrastructure changes under supervision
- Support environment consistency checks
- Help with drift detection and cleanup
- Learn how infrastructure changes progress from staging to production
Cloud Security & Reliability
- Assist in reviewing IAM permissions and access boundaries
- Help identify misconfigurations or risky patterns
- Support incident analysis related to security or access
- Learn practical cloud security fundamentals (IAM, least privilege, access control)
Required Qualifications:
- Strong curiosity about cloud systems and infrastructure
- Comfortable working with terminals, logs, and debugging
- Basic understanding of Linux
- Basic understanding of HTTP APIs
- Basic understanding of cloud concepts (VPCs, services, permissions)
- Clear written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
What You Will Learn
- How real production AWS systems are structured and operated
- How Terraform is used to manage infrastructure safely
- How incidents are detected, triaged, and resolved
- How cloud security works in practice
- How engineering teams operate during launches
Why This Internship Is Different
- Real production exposure with appropriate guardrails
- No simulated or sandbox-only projects
- Direct mentorship from senior engineers
- Clear growth path toward DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles
Important Notes
- This is a hands-on role with real responsibility
- The intern will interact with production systems under strict access controls
- Not suitable for candidates seeking a passive or observational internship
