Position Overview
The Product Specialist will support the development and continuous improvement of the nammiskills digital platform by translating program objectives, stakeholder needs, and user insights into clear and actionable product requirements.
The role requires a structured and user-centered approach to product development, ensuring that platform features are well-defined, effectively communicated to design and development partners, and implemented in alignment with the overall product vision.
The Product Specialist will play an important role in bridging the gap between program stakeholders, design partners, and platform developers, ensuring that product requirements are clearly understood, implementation outputs meet expectations, and feature delivery remains aligned with agreed scope, timelines, and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Definition and Requirements Development
- Translate stakeholder needs and program objectives into clear functional product requirements and specifications.
- Document user journeys, use cases, workflows, and feature specifications that guide UI/UX design and platform development.
- Ensure that product requirements are clear, structured, and sufficiently detailed to support effective implementation by external partners.
- Product Backlog and Feature Scoping
- Break down platform features into user stories and detailed functional requirements.
- Maintain and update the product backlog and feature documentation to reflect evolving platform needs.
- Support feature prioritization and planning in coordination with project leadership.
- Collaboration with Design and Development Partners
- Work closely with UI/UX designers and platform development partners to explain product requirements and ensure a shared understanding of expected outcomes.
- Review design proposals and implementation outputs to validate alignment with product specifications and user needs.
- Track the progress of feature implementation and proactively address potential issues affecting delivery timelines or scope.
- Help ensure that project scope is well managed, and that changes to requirements are properly documented and communicated.
- Product Demonstrations and Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead or facilitate product demonstrations to internal stakeholders and relevant user groups.
- Present newly developed features and product improvements in a clear and structured manner.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and users to inform future product enhancements.
- Product Quality and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor feature implementation to ensure outputs meet product expectations and user needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve product usability and user experience.
- Contribute to ongoing product refinement based on feedback and platform usage insights.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in product management, product analysis, or digital product development.
- Experience working with digital platforms, web applications, or mobile products.
- Strong ability to produce clear functional specifications, user stories, and structured product documentation.
- Experience collaborating with design teams and software development teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain product requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Experience working with EdTech solutions, or digital service ecosystems.
- Familiarity with structured product delivery processes and project documentation practices.
