Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a Product Analyst II to join our Product and Technology organization. You will turn business and customer needs into clear, testable specifications for Engineering and QA, document requirements, track product metrics, and help resolve ambiguity throughout delivery. Success in this role requires strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and confidence working across Product Management, Engineering, and QA.
What You Will Do
- Turn banking and customer needs into testable requirements for Data Fabric capabilities and data products.
- Trace requirements through data sources, transformations, metrics, APIs and user-facing behavior.
- Ask questions across teams, resolve ambiguity proactively, and explain trade-offs clearly rather than only transcribing requests into tickets.
- Clarify product requirements and translate them into detailed functional and non-functional requirements and specifications.
- Document requirements using epics, user stories, process flows, and UI mock-ups or use cases.
- Track key product metrics and performance indicators to monitor progress against benchmarks.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and QA to ensure requirements are well understood and testable.
- Conduct user research and stay current on industry trends to inform product decisions.
- Identify areas for improvement in the product development process and contribute to best practices that enhance product quality and user satisfaction.
- Support backlog grooming, prioritization discussions, and sprint planning activities.
- Help validate delivered features against original requirements and flag gaps early.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in a product analyst, business analyst, or similar role, preferably in banking, fintech, or enterprise SaaS environments.
- Experience with Agile delivery and requirements-management tools such as Confluence, Jira, draw.io, or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to document requirements using epics, user stories, charts and diagrams, UI mock-ups, and use cases.
- Strong data analysis skills, including working knowledge of SQL.
- Customer focus, with the ability to empathize with end users and understand their needs.
- Adaptability to changing priorities, requirements, and technologies in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring requirements are accurately documented and data analysis is thorough.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in English, in writing and conversation.
- Interest in learning unfamiliar tools and business concepts and staying current with changes in data technology and engineering practices.
- Ownership beyond assigned sprint tasks, including investigating problems, seeking out the people and context needed, making progress independently where possible, and raising blockers early with a clear account of what has been tried.
- Ability to work well across Product, Engineering, and customer-facing teams, with an interest in understanding the banking problem behind each technical requirement.
Nice to Have
- Experience with banking platforms, financial products, pricing, billing, or contract/deal management workflows.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted product or requirements tooling.
- Exposure to API and data models for enterprise SaaS products.
Success in This Role Looks Like
- Requirements are clear, complete, and well understood by Engineering and QA before development begins.
- Product metrics and performance indicators are tracked and reported consistently.
- Gaps between delivered features and original requirements are identified early and addressed quickly.
- The Product Analyst is seen as a trusted, go-to resource for requirements clarity across the team.
