Job Description:

As a Cybersecurity Intern specializing in Web Penetration Testing at Hiperlinx, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and learn the ins and outs of securing web applications. You will play a crucial role in identifying vulnerabilities and helping our clients safeguard their online assets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Web Application Testing: Conduct comprehensive security assessments of web applications to identify vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF), and more.
2. Network Scanning: Utilize various tools and techniques to scan networks and web servers for potential weaknesses and misconfigurations.
3. Vulnerability Analysis: Analyze and prioritize identified vulnerabilities, providing clear and concise reports to the cybersecurity team.
4. Exploitation and Proof of Concept: Develop and execute proof-of-concept attacks to demonstrate the real-world impact of discovered vulnerabilities.
5. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of testing procedures, findings, and recommendations, and assist in the preparation of client reports.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the cybersecurity team to share knowledge, insights, and best practices for security testing.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Strong passion for cybersecurity and a basic understanding of web application security concepts.
• Familiarity with common web technologies, programming languages (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, PHP, SQL), and web frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity tools and techniques used in web penetration testing (e.g., Burp Suite, OWASP Top Ten).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
