Senior/Lead Fullstack Software Engineer

Role Overview:

As a Senior/Lead Fullstack Software Engineer at Speedlane, you will assist in the development, and deployment of cutting-edge software platforms and in producing high-quality, scalable, and optimized solutions that meet the needs of our clients and end-users. You will also guide and coach direct reports to help them advance in their career development.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development: Lead the end-to-end design and development of web and mobile applications. Implement high-quality, robust, and scalable solutions using different programming languages, like React, React Native, and Node.js.

Database Management: Design, implement, and optimise scalable databases. Ensure data integrity, availability, and consistency.

Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to translate requirements into actionable development tasks and ensure timely delivery.

Architecture: Architect solutions that are modular, scalable, maintainable, and reusable. Ensure that all solutions are aligned with the latest industry best practices and standards.

Code Reviews: Lead code review sessions and mentor engineers, helping them elevate their technical skills and adhere to coding best practices.

Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the full-stack development realm. Drive the adoption of new techniques, tools, and practices to continuously improve our systems and processes.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience.

Strong understanding of modern web and mobile application development paradigms.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience with database design, implementation, and optimisation.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools.

Optional: Experience with AWS deployment and management.

Optional: Managing direct reports.
