Job Description

We are seeking a Full-Time Technical Project Manager to oversee the development of a complex, multi-stakeholder platform and app. The project involves creating a robust CMS (Content Management System) with integrated Learning Management, AI, and Social Media/Networking features. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skill set in platform and app development, project management, and effective communication and leadership abilities.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Understanding of Web Technologies: Familiarity with web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks.
  • CMS Proficiency: Knowledge of CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Joomla) and their functionalities, including social networking and learning management integrations.
  • Integration Skills: Understanding of how CMS integrates with other systems (e.g., marketing automation, CRM, ERP) using API Gateway.
  • Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of hosting, storage, and maintenance on cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).
  • Full-Stack Development and DevOps: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS

  • Planning and Scheduling: Ability to create detailed project plans with timelines, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Resource Management: Effective allocation and management of personnel, technology, and budget.
  • Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
  • Budgeting: Managing project budgets, cost estimation, tracking expenditures, and financial reporting.
  • Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and proficiency in project management tools.

METRICS AND KPIS

  • Ability to define and track KPIs aligned with project goals.
  • Experience in setting up and managing performance dashboards.
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making and system performance optimization.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Stakeholder Communication: Effective communication with clients, team members, and stakeholders, managing expectations.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation (e.g., requirements, design specifications, status reports).
  • Conflict Resolution: Handling disputes diplomatically to maintain team cohesion and project progress.

LEADERSHIP & TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Solution Ownership: Governance skills to act as project owner in technical aspects and operations.
  • Team Building: Motivating and leading a diverse team, fostering collaboration and a positive working environment.
  • Delegation: Assigning tasks based on team members' skills and expertise.
  • Performance Management: Monitoring team and vendor performance, providing feedback to ensure project goals are met.

  • Vision and Goals: Understanding broader business objectives and how the project fits into the overall strategy.
  • Decision Making: Making informed decisions balancing project constraints (time, cost, scope) with business goals.

PROBLEM-SOLVING & ANALYTICAL SKILLS

  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving technical issues or challenges.
  • Analytics: Using data to evaluate project performance and guide decision-making.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

  • Testing and Validation: Ensuring the platform and CMS meet quality standards through thorough testing (e.g., functional, usability, performance).
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., accessibility, data privacy).

CHANGE MANAGEMENT 

  • Adaptability: Managing changes to project scope or requirements effectively.
  • User Training: Overseeing end-user training on the CMS to ensure smooth adoption and usage.

AGILE & WATERFALL METHODOLOGIES

  • Agile: Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) for iterative development.
  • Waterfall: Understanding of Waterfall methodologies for linear, sequential project phases.

VENDOR & CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

  • Negotiation: Negotiating contracts and managing relationships with third-party vendors.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitoring vendor performance to ensure compliance with terms and deliverables.

CUSTOMER-CENTRIC FOCUS

  • User Experience (UX): Understanding UX principles to ensure a positive user experience.
  • Client Requirements: Gathering, analyzing, and translating client requirements into actionable tasks.

LEGAL & COMPLIANCE AWARENESS

  • Data Protection: Knowledge of data protection laws (e.g., GDPR) impacting development and CMS usage.
  • Licensing: Understanding software licensing agreements and intellectual property rights.
