Role Overview:
As a Senior QA Specialist at Decentra Tech, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team focused on delivering high-quality, reliable software solutions. You will serve as the quality advocate, ensuring that our systems are robust, scalable, and user-friendly. By deeply understanding our platform from both a technical and end-user perspective, you will help maintain and continuously improve the overall product quality. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, employing a range of testing methodologies (from functional to performance) across diverse platforms and environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and test plans aligned with product requirements, timelines, and quality objectives.
2. Conduct various types of testing including functional, performance (load/stress), compatibility, smoke/sanity, and regression testing.
3. Leverage automation tools (Selenium, Appium) to streamline testing processes, improve test coverage, and enhance efficiency.
4. Execute performance testing strategies.
5. Adopt an end-user mindset to validate that the product meets usability, accessibility, and reliability standards.
6. Work closely with development, product management, and operations teams to understand system architecture, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
7. Utilize JIRA for issue tracking and management, ensuring defects are clearly documented, accurately prioritized, and efficiently resolved.
8. Monitor defect resolution, verify fixes, and ensure that resolved issues align with product quality standards.
9. Stay current with emerging QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
10. Mentor and guide junior QA team members, sharing expertise and promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional QA experience, ideally within tech enterprise or logistics-related systems.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Advanced knowledge of QA methodologies, testing techniques, and SDLC best practices.
  • Extensive experience using JIRA for test management and defect tracking.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium and Appium for automation testing.
  • Proven track record in conducting performance (Load/Stress) tests and analyzing results using JMeter.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to think from an end-user perspective, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
• Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience in IoT, AI-driven solutions, or complex data-driven systems.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.
  • ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications.
