Job Description

Role Overview: 

As a Legal Intern, you will play a critical role in conducting a legal audit of our company's documentation, updating the status of our startup investments, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, you will review internal contracts, legal documents, and policies to identify risks and propose improvements from a legal perspective. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate law, and compliance frameworks in Lebanon’s fast-evolving startup ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing agreements
• Analyze contracts and legal documents related to startup investments, partnerships, and operational activities.
• Provide feedback on internal policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal standards and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
• Identify and assess legal risks associated with the company’s operations and investments and propose actionable solutions.
• Collaborate with the legal team and other departments to provide legal insights into business decisions.
• Assist in preparing legal memos, reports, and recommendations based on audit findings and document reviews.
• Maintain proper documentation of legal audits and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) or currently enrolled in a law program.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in legal research, contract review, or related fields.
• Knowledge of Lebanese corporate and startup laws is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with legal compliance, contracts, intellectual property, and investment laws.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify risks and provide sound recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
