Job Description
Summary:
The Architect is responsible for designing new buildings, extensions, or alterations to existing structures, and providing expert advice on the restoration and conservation of old properties. This role requires aligning architectural designs with management directions and ensuring seamless coordination with various project interfaces to achieve cohesive and functional results. The Architect will oversee the entire design process, from concept to execution, ensuring that all architectural elements are meticulously planned and integrated.
Responsibilities:
- Discussing the objectives, requirements, and budget of a project.
- Consulting with other professionals about design.
- Preparing and presenting feasibility reports and design proposals to the client.
- Advising the client on the practicality of their project.
- Using IT in design and project management, specifically computer-aided design software.
- Keeping within financial budgets and deadlines.
- Producing detailed work, drawings, and specifications.
- Specifying the nature and quality of materials required.
- Preparing tender applications and presentations.
- Negotiating with contractors and other professionals.
- Preparing applications for planning and building control departments.
- Drawing up tender documents for contracts.
- Helping to coordinate the work of contractors.
- Controlling a project from start to finish.
- Making regular site visits to check on progress, ensuring that the project is running on time and within budget.
- Resolving problems and issues that arise during construction.
- Ensuring that the environmental impact of the project is managed.
- Managing and delivering various project types, including rendering, design, and production.
- Demonstrating proven leadership in coordinating efforts between the design team and site construction team to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Architecture or equivalent, with 3-4 years’ experience
- Excellent communications skills to direct employees/workers coordinate with others and answers customers’ inquiries.
- Wide exposure to buildings Design and construction
- Fluency in written / spoken English, French and Arabic
- Exposure to buildings design and construction.
- Professional computer literacy in MS Office applications and planning software, AutoCAD, MS project, Photoshop, Revit, Sketch-up , 3DS max or Lumion ( any similar 3D visual software) .
- Ability to deliver on agreed objectives/targets.
- Ability to take initiative and apply considerable ingenuity and practical knowledge.
- Ability to establish baseline strategic program.
- Team player, positive thinker, strong communication skills, problem solving
- Skilled in utilizing advanced tools like animations and virtual reality to present projects innovatively.
