Job Description
Job Summary:
The Executive Director is the key management leader of BDD Academy. He/she will be responsible for leading the academy towards the realization of its mission and strategic objectives by overseeing all its operations, functions and activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Driving BDD Academy’s vision, mission, strategy and growth goals
- Ensuring that the BDD Academy’s team is aligned with the organization’s mission and vision and that they are working together efficiently to successfully achieve its strategic aims
- Managing the academy’s annual budget
- Supervising the implementation of BDD Academy’s programs and initiatives to guarantee their relevance, success and cost-effectiveness
- Overseeing the daily operations of the academy and providing executive direction and guidance
- Devising remedial actions for any identified issues and conducting crisis management when necessary
- Providing strategic guidance to the marketing and communication efforts of BDD Academy to enhance its visibility, credibility and brand image
- Directing the academy’s fundraising efforts to maximize resource utilization and to maintain the organization in a healthy financial position
- Serving as BDD Academy’s primary spokesperson and acting at the face of the organization in external events in ways that strengthen its profile
- Forging and maintaining relations of trust with donors, partners, external authorities, private sector and other stakeholders and utilizing these connections to strategically deliver BDD Academy’s mission
- Coordinating the relationships with BDD Academy’s boards and committees and seeking their active involvement in the academy’s activities
- Directing the training providers sourcing process: Publishing the open call for applications, reaching out to relevant training providers, monitoring and assessing received proposals against eligibility criteria, meeting with potential training providers and submitting eligible programs to the academy’s selection committee
- Directing the beneficiary sourcing strategy from schools, universities and under-served areas
- Developing a monitoring and evaluation system for the academy
- Monitoring BDD Academy programs’ activities, outputs and progress towards anticipated results
- Managing due diligence processes and facilitating donor audits
- Ensure reporting requirements for all institutional donors are met and reports are completed to deadlines
Job Qualifications:
- Master in Business Administration or related field
- Seven to ten years of experience in program management and NGOs
- Roles in Talent Development are a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Fluent in English and Arabic
