Role Summary:
BDD Academy is looking for a Project Manager to lead a 16-month project funded by a major international organization. The project will bring together the public sector, private sector, key digital technology players, educational institutions, and vulnerable young people to develop a more equitable, systematic, and empowering bridge from skills training to employment opportunities in the digital economy while enhancing the labor intermediation between supply, demand, educational providers and policy-makers.
The Program Director will manage the implementation of the project. She/he will have to work with a senior product manager to manage the online platform, and a team of approximately five FTEs to manage the training stream. She/he will be responsible for leading the successful implementation of this project’s activities and operations to achieve the intended objective and will be the primary point of contact with the donors.
Role and Responsibilities:
Build the team working on the project
Ensure that the team is working together efficiently to successfully achieve its strategic aims
Manage the project annual budget
Supervise the implementation of the project to guarantee their relevance, success and cost-effectiveness
Oversee the daily operations of the project and provide executive direction and guidance
Devise remedial actions for any identified issues and conduct crisis management when necessary
Develop a monitoring and evaluation system for the project
Monitor the project’s activities, outputs and progress towards anticipated results
Ensure reporting requirements for the donor are met and reports are completed to deadlines
Qualifications:
Master’s in Business Administration/IT or related field
8 to 10 years of experience in program management and NGOs, preferably with experience with international donors
Roles in youth employment in the digital sector are a plus
Experience with Design thinking and agile approaches is a plus
Understanding Tech is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office
Fluent in English and Arabic

Duration:
The duration of this contract is a total of 16 months. Remuneration will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the project budget. Based on program needs, budget availability and consultant performance, the contract may be extended.
