Internship overview:

We are seeking a Technical SEO Specialist Intern to join our digital transformation team. You will focus on optimizing our new platform (built in React/Next.js) for search engines by ensuring proper indexing, site structure, and performance. This role bridges development and marketing, working closely with front-end, back-end, and SEO interns to make the platform both technically sound and highly discoverable. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the website is crawlable and indexable by search engines.
• Implement and validate meta tags, structured data (schema.org), and canonical tags.
• Contribute to building and maintaining sitemap.xml and robots.txt.
• Monitor and optimize Core Web Vitals (page speed, mobile performance, loading times).
• Collaborate with developers to set up server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG) in Next.js.
• Work with the SEO & Digital Marketing intern to align content optimization with technical best practices.
• Support the integration of Google Analytics, Search Console, and tracking tools into the React/Next.js environment.

Majors preferences: Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering Business Administration (with advanced Excel/VBA), Accounting, Finance (with strong Excel automation skills)

Technical requirements:

• Basic knowledge of React.js / Next.js SEO fundamentals.
• Familiarity with SEO audit tools (Google Search Console, Lighthouse, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, or similar).
• Understanding of structured data and how to implement it.
• Awareness of server-side rendering, dynamic rendering, and static generation concepts.
• Interest in web performance optimization and Core Web Vitals.

Other skills:

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate operational workflows into practical Excel tools.
• Good communication skills for training and documentation.
• Organized, with an eye for usability and design in templates.
• Curiosity to explore ERP/automation beyond Excel.
