Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for leading the accounting department and developing a plan that will deliver the requisite level of service. He/she will manage accounting processes including general ledger, balance sheet account reconciliation, payables, receivables, treasury, and credit and collection.                              

Key Responsibilities

• Processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded 
• Record and process of expenses, payroll etc.
• Improve financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Upgrade & update accounts receivable and issue invoices
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
• Performing weekly bank reconciliations
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with stakeholders to foster business improvement and objective achievement
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations in order to manage risk and minimize tax exposure
   

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or accounting. Master’s Degree is a major plus 
• 4 to 6 years of experience in accounting out of which 4 years in a supervisory role 
• Proficiency in MS Office 
• Fluency in English
