Job Overview:
CodeBrave is seeking a skilled and experienced Education Expert to oversee the implementation of our Digital Literacy and STEM Training Program. The Education Expert will be responsible for managing the team of teacher trainers and staff delivering the program at 40 schools, ensuring the curriculum is effectively implemented, and overseeing program monitoring and evaluation to maintain high educational standards. This role requires a strong background in education management, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to empowering youth through quality STEM education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- At least 3-5 years of experience managing educational programs, preferably in STEM or digital literacy.
- Strong leadership skills with experience overseeing and supporting teams.
- Experience with curriculum implementation, teacher training, and educational program M&E.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, schools, and NGOs.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Arabic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of educational psychology and working with children affected by toxic stress.
- Experience with integrating gender equity into educational programs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Enthusiasm for promoting STEM education and fostering a passion for coding and robotics.
Areas Of Responsibility:
- Recruitment of Teachers and Teacher Trainers: Coordinate with the Project Manager to recruit 12-16 Teachers and Teacher Trainers, conducting interviews and selecting candidates.
- Program Oversight and Management: Oversee the implementation of the Digital Literacy and STEM Training Program across designated schools and centers. Oversee and line-manage 12-15 Teachers and Teacher Trainers as they deliver the following activities:
- The Teacher Trainers will be delivering training to selected public school teachers and partner staff (c. 400 total trainees) on CodeBrave’s digital literacy and STEM curriculum, training them on Teaching Methodology, and running launch events at each school for parents, teachers, students. The Education Manager will be expected to attend some of these training sessions in person.
- The Teachers will be teaching around 2,000 total students at 20 public schools.
- Supervise and support teacher trainers and program staff, ensuring adherence to project objectives and timelines.
- Coordinate with partners to ensure smooth delivery of the program.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor the delivery of teacher training sessions and student classes to ensure alignment with program goals. Conduct regular reviews of program activities, identifying and addressing any challenges or gaps. Personally participate in regular field monitoring visits and supervise the proper monitoring of project impact, assessing the effectiveness of each activity in relation to expected outcomes. Ensure the curriculum meets international educational standards and is tailored to local needs.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Foster collaborative relationships between CodeBrave and other stakeholders. Organize and participate in community engagement activities, such as parent and school staff information sessions.
- Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E): Lead the M&E team to design M&E tools and track program outcomes and effectiveness. Oversee the collection and analysis of data from pre- and post-program surveys. Write reports highlighting program impact, successes, and areas for improvement.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates to CodeBrave’s leadership team on program progress. Document best practices and lessons learned to inform future projects.
Salary:
$1,500 (post tax) full-time contract for 8 months.
