Summary:
The Community and Programs Manager is responsible for enhancing the overall quality of life within the community by planning, organizing, and managing a wide range of community events and ecosystem-building initiatives. This role fosters strong community engagement and creates synergies among stakeholders to drive collaboration. The manager oversees the community team, ensuring the efficient upkeep and optimal use of shared spaces, including conference rooms, boardrooms, and co-working areas, as well as managing their bookings and sales.
In addition to community management, this position requires a dynamic individual with strong sales and customer service skills to promote and sell space rentals, ensuring maximum utilization. The Community and Programs Manager will attend all relevant community and ecosystem events, actively representing the organization, while also taking the lead in planning and executing their own events. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for onboarding new companies to BDD, ensuring a smooth integration and fostering lasting relationships.
This role also involves establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships to enhance the community's offerings, drive growth, and increase visibility. The manager will work closely with external partners to create mutually beneficial opportunities, further solidifying BDD’s position in the market. This position demands a passion for both community-building and business development, blending event coordination with a strategic focus on growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and manage the CM team to ensure they meet their goals, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of brand presentation and community satisfaction.
- Partnerships and Networking:
- Establish and nurture key external partnerships to drive growth, increase visibility, and create mutually beneficial opportunities for the community.
- Leverage networks to generate office leads and business opportunities.
- Programs and Event Management:
- Lead the planning and execution of community-building events, ecosystem initiatives, and internal programs. Oversee the team responsible for organizing these events, ensuring goals are met, and successful outcomes are achieved.
- Collect feedback, measure event success, and adjust strategies for future activities to continually improve engagement, learning, and networking within the community.
- Sales and Revenue Optimization:
- Oversee the promotion and sale of conference rooms, boardrooms, and co-working spaces, ensuring the sales team tailors pitches to meet specific client needs.
- Monitor and grow BDD event and products sales.
- Community Engagement and Retention:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for community members. Guide the team in addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering a welcoming environment to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Manage ongoing dialogue with community members, ensuring that all feedback is captured and addressed promptly to maintain a positive atmosphere.
- Platform Management:
- Oversee the management and use of the BDD App CMS for subscriptions, bookings, events, and other community features. Ensure the platform is effectively used by both team members and clients to support community engagement and user experience.
- Onboarding and Off-boarding:
- Supervise the onboarding and off-boarding processes for new members, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience.
- Conduct community orientation tours, ensuring new members are effectively integrated into the community and feel welcomed.
- Reporting and Performance Tracking:
- Generate and present detailed reports on client retention, space utilization, sales performance, event outcomes, competition reports, and partnership success to the Growth Director.
- Use insights from reports to inform strategies, make data-driven decisions, and implement improvements across the community.
- Space Well-being and Presentation:
- Ensure that all shared spaces, including co-working areas, training rooms, event spaces, gym, and eateries, are well-maintained and professionally presented to create a comfortable and productive environment for community members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, entrepreneurship or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in program management, community management, or a similar role, with a proven track record of driving community engagement and organizing events.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely execution.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated success in building relationships and fostering engagement within diverse communities.
- Sales-oriented mindset for promoting and selling.
- Knowledge of the Lebanese or regional startup landscape and ecosystem is a plus.
- Ability to plan, execute, and represent the organization at events
Languages:
Fluent in English and Arabic, French is a plus.
