Job Description

The Headend Systems Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, provisioning, monitoring, and adjustment of headend systems and related sub-systems to ensure optimal performance. This includes working with satellite receivers, scramblers, optical transport equipment, antennas, signal processors, and commercial insertion equipment. The role requires close coordination with vendors and internal teams to execute tasks efficiently and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and provision headend systems and related sub-systems.
• Perform routine checks and alignments of all headend equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor RF and data performance and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects and troubleshooting.
• Support system integration and testing teams, collaborating with solution vendors to develop and validate release candidates.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer and Communications Engineering (CCE).
• Experience: 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in networking, telecommunications, or headend system management.
• Technical Skills: CCNA certification is mandatory.
• Other Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent coordination and communication skills to work with vendors and internal teams.
