Job Description

The Padelist is seeking a Business Development Manager to take a central role in driving our expansion through strategic partnerships. This position requires an experienced professional with a proven track record in scaling high-growth businesses.
The ideal candidate will be versatile, results-oriented, and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to close high-value deals, build lasting relationships, and drive substantial growth. You’ll be setting the bar high for performance. You will work closely with business development teams and leads from other departments, ensuring seamless execution of strategies across the company.

Responsibilities:

Drive Strategic Partnerships
Establish and nurture high-value partnerships with industry leaders in sports, lifestyle, hospitality, retail, and beyond, positioning The Padelist for maximum growth and brand expansion.

Lead Partnership Initiatives
Proactively source and negotiate new business opportunities, manage the full sales cycle, and close deals that align with The Padelist’s strategic goals. Build a robust pipeline and deliver consistent results.

Sales & Revenue Growth
Achieve ambitious KPIs and sales targets through strategic business development and executing growth initiatives. Ensure continued revenue growth from existing partnerships and new business ventures.

Forecasting & Target Management
Set high standards for performance by accurately forecasting revenue, tracking KPIs, and continuously exceeding sales targets. Use a data-driven approach to maintain focus and alignment with overall business objectives.

Maximize Revenue Opportunities
Develop innovative strategies to increase revenue through partnership channels, creating monetization opportunities aligned with The Padelist’s long-term goals.

Enhance Existing Relationships
Strengthen relationships with current partners, ensuring ongoing growth and uncovering opportunities to deepen the value from existing deals.

Marketing & Promotions
Collaborate with marketing teams to design and execute effective campaigns, co-branded initiatives, and promotional activities that resonate with our target audience.

Lead Industry Networking & Representation
Represent The Padelist at major industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities, further solidifying our brand presence and reputation as an industry leader.

Qualifications:

- 5+ Years of Experience: Proven experience in business development, partnerships, and sales, with a strong background in fast-paced or high-growth environments. Expertise in sports is a plus.
- Startup Experience Preferred: While not required, experience in startups is valued. We appreciate adaptability, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to thrive in evolving environments.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in negotiating and closing high-value deals, with a history of building sustainable partnerships that contribute to business growth.
- Versatile & Dynamic: Ability to manage multiple projects, execute complex strategies, and handle ambiguity. A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced setting.
- Analytical & Results-Driven: Strong ability to manage KPIs, forecast revenue, and adjust strategies based on data and insights.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to craft and deliver compelling presentations and confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Presentation & Tech Proficiency: Strong knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Comfortable creating impactful pitch decks, sales proposals, and reports.
- Time Management & Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time efficiently in a demanding environment.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to align with cross-functional teams and contribute to shared goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree: Preferred in business, marketing, economics, or a related field.
