ROLE OVERVIEW

POSITION: Full-Time Technical Lead & Startup Creator for our EdTech Platform (Mobile & Web Development)

We are looking for a visionary Tech Lead with the heart of an entrepreneur and the passion of an educator — someone who thrives in startup environments, is driven by purpose, and is excited to build and scale the platform as a transformative EdTech platform. This role calls for both technical mastery and leadership presence, with a mindset rooted in innovation, collaboration, and impact.

You will be instrumental in designing, building, and scaling the platform while shaping its product-market fit and growth strategy.

You will collaborate closely with the Tech Project Manager and report directly to the Executive Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of the EdTech Platform mobile-first platform. 

• Drive product direction, ensuring alignment with market needs and youth-centric education strategies. • Validate business models and ensure rapid go-to-market execution. 

• Manage a diverse technical team, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing. 

• Act as the main liaison between technical teams, vendors, and non-technical stakeholders. 

• Integrate AI-driven personalization, data analytics, gamification & secure infrastructure into the platform. 

• Ensure robust data protection, cybersecurity compliance, and adherence to legal standards i.e. GDPR. 

• Oversee DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and app store deployments. 

• Lead problem solving, technical troubleshooting, and platform optimization. 

• Foster a culture of agile development, innovation, and continuous learning.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of experience in Web and Mobile Development. 

• Proven track record in building or leading startups. 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science (Master’s preferred). 

• Demonstrated project management skills (certification is a plus). 

• Experience with educational platforms or EdTech is a strong advantage. 

• Hands-on expertise in:

• Web Technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Vue.js, Angular).
• Mobile Frameworks (React Native, Flutter, Kotlin).
• Backend (Node.js, Python, Java, Ruby).
• Databases (SQL, NoSQL).
• Authentication systems (OAuth, JWT, Firebase Auth).
• AI integration, cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).
• DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and GitLab). 
• Experience with data privacy, licensing, and compliance.
