Job Description
Position Summary
The Blockchain developer will be part of CMA CGM Digital Centre at Beirut. Within the Digital Factory you will be involved in project activities on multiple digital applications and will work in contact with Business team (CMA CGM), Data Scientists and various architecture or development teams
Position Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test blockchain technologies
- Evaluate applications for new tools and technologies
- Maintain and extend client- and server-side applications responsible for integration and business logic
- Be involved in the global blockchain community—work on implementing and integrating the latest improvement proposals
- Documentation of new solutions as well as maintaining that of existing ones
Skills & Qualifications
- At least 2 years of commercial experience in projects involving blockchain
- Proficient in building a blockchain infrastructure in Ethereum and Hyperledger
- Understanding of Bitcoin or other crypto currencies
- Experience in development of decentralized applications
- Experience with cryptography and blockchain protocols, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum
- Knowledge in cryptocurrency in terms of concept, development and deployment
- Knowledge with Kubernetes container orchestration using Docker/AKS/OpenShift
- Hands on experience using CI/CD and DevOps practices to deliver products
- Experience with version control tools, such as Git
- Experience with Agile development practices and techniques
- Experience with relational databases and document-oriented databases
- Experience in Test Driven Development technique
- Passionate in doing research and development using cutting edge technologies
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to mentor others on the team
- Ability to interact effectively with co-workers and collaborate with team members
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written English, French is a plus
Bonus Points For:
- Knowledge in languages such as php, Java, HTML, JS, CSS, ReactJS, NodeJS
- Experience in leading unique Blockchain initiatives
- Experience building REST APIs and/or microservices
