Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE
The 3D Modeler must support the creation of the 3D models for the different projects, including the development of models for the game’s assets. This person is in charge of providing the support to every department of the Studio, as to participate in the brainstorming team meetings. Likewise, understand and articulate complex technologies in order to respond to the Studio’s requirements, having the disposition to be in constant training. The 3D Artist must be creative and possess internal motivation to give their best in the creation process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and design new models.
- Create 3D models for Imagineering.
- Optimize high poly models for game use.
- Develop primary sketches and models for game assets.
- Animate 3D characters and assets.
- Create basic character rigs.
- Develop highly detailed organic/hard surface models for a realistic look.
- Brush surfacing tools like Substance Designer and Painter, and understanding of creating PBR physically-based rendering material.
- Constant review of the work progress.
- Integrate information and features according to the settled duties.
- Accomplish schedules and deadlines.
- Collaborate with all the team members.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphics and Animation
